We took the bus to Oxford for a little day trip. When we arrived, we first explored a little market and I got a cookie from Ben’s Cookies - SO worth the hype, best cookie I’ve ever had! Then we walked around Oxford University. Going to school here would feel like being in a movie, it was an amazing campus.
We took a tour of Oxford Castle and Prison. It was crazy to see the groove marks in the floor from prisoners forced to push around a wooden wheel for 10 hours a day. The prison was known for being the most brutal in the UK. We got to see the crypt and cell rooms. We learned about the youngest prisoner who was a 7 year old girl, imprisoned for stealing a stroller.
We got drinks at the Alchemist. I got an old fashioned and the bartender brought a torch and created the steam right in front of us!
